Welcome to “Taking Cities,” where we
are literally making a mark for the
Kingdom of God that can not be
erased! Whether by accident, incident,
or coincidence, we thank God for
enabling you to visit us.

Many of us have always heard about
the negatives surrounding our cities
which ultimately affect all of us such as
violence, drugs, political corruption,
sexual immorality, and many others.
However, the Taking Cities Ministry is
designed to 'transform cities of
America through the Word of God
one person at a time.' We seek to do
this by equipping people of all ages
spiritually, physically, mentally, and
emotionally, that we may surround
those negatives with the presence of
God, and not allow the negatives to
surround us.

We seek to minister through the
preached word of God as well as
Christian Rap Music for the purpose of
reaching people right where they are.
It is important to know that taking your
city does not start with the city itself; it
starts with the home. Cities don’t make
up homes, but homes make up cities.
The sooner we see change in our
homes, the sooner we will see change
in our cities.

This ministry was founded in August of 2005 by Rev.
Thomas Beavers and birthed out of the New Rising Star
Missionary Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama and
the Grace Community Christian Church in Kennesaw,
Georgia. Thank you so much for visiting and may God
